Duties:

  • Responsible for financial reporting of all shop locations
  • Review and confirm coding of invoices
  • Ensure all internal work orders are invoiced and billed correctly
  • Provide cost reports to all concerned parties
  • Investigate and provide support for questions related to intercompany charges
  • Ensure all equipment is billed to the projects on a weekly basis
  • Verify that all equipment and repair billings are completed timely and accurately
  • Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting
  • Maintain cost accounting system and cost ledger
  • Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data to upper management
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Work with Division Manager to ensure equipment processes are completed and recorded properly in company systems
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
  • Establish and help maintain parts inventory and any related reports
  • Other duties as assigned

 Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Equipment accounting experience a plus
  • Job costing experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations and review
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP) data manipulation required
  • Highly motivated, energetic and professionally assertive
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Strong personnel management skills
  • Travel to the other shop locations quarterly

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May vary from site to site and in some cases be greater or lesser than indicated here.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
