Precipart is looking for an an Accounts Payable Specialist with excellent attention to detail to join our Accounting Team. The is a full charge Accounts Payable position who will be responsible for coordinating all Accounts Payable activity for the group. In this position, you will handle all accounts payable functions from coding vendor invoices, accounts payable data entry, and generating checks for approval. We are looking for a committed, efficient and reliable team player to support the accounting team members, other internal members, and external parties.  

Responsibilities:

  • Weekly, code incoming invoices to ensure charges are being assigned to proper expense accounts on P&L; includes identifying vendor, invoice number, expense account, and proper input into computer system.
  • Handle all Accounts Payable functions:
    • Generate and present list of outstanding bills to the Associate Director, Accounting Services for approval
    • Generate checks, manual checks, and initiate domestic and international wires for approval, signature, and distribution
    • When necessary, escalate outstanding bills for payment to maintain positive relationships with vendors
  • Daily, update cash book disbursements reflecting accurate daily balance
  • Backup to Accounts Receivable Specialist function, as needed

Other 

  •  Bookkeeping operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for conforming with the company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior

Requirements  

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience
  • Detail orientated with a proven ability to be multi tasked
  • Proficiency in Access, Excel with a working knowledge of Word
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with manufacturing ERP systems a plus
