Advertising an opportunity for an aggressive HVAC Outside Sales Representative – Large Accounts

Johnstone Supply is a distributor of heating and air conditioning equipment, parts, and supplies, serving Nevada, Arizona, and Mississippi markets. These states are HOT and we love supplying our parts to the contractors that keep schools, businesses, and homes comfortable. We can’t change the weather, but we are daily doing our part to keep the indoors perfect temperature year-round.
With success comes growth and we are adding a new position to our team, that of Outside Sales Representative targeting Large Accounts. In this role, you will identify and close complex solution opportunities with large contractor accounts through consultative selling. With the support of our team, you help our customers take vacations because they save so much time and money researching and ordering the right product, thanks to your problem-solving skills.

Requirements (Seriously, please don’t apply if you do not meet these requirements)
- You have minimum of 5 Years of documented, successful direct sales experience
- Ideally, in HVAC industry preferred, but not necessary

What work looks like:
You aren’t going to be cooped up in an office – you’ll be on the road, finding and visiting customers, mapping out decision making, building relationships and solving problems. You turn the problem solving into sales and margins, through persistent follow-up and closing skills. When a customer does have an issue (which doesn’t happen very often), you help understand the root cause and solve it. When you DO visit an office (one of the 7 branches in the Phoenix area), you’ll find a well-lit, modern building, with friendly faces. You will negotiate and write large orders, but rely on counter / inside sales associates for the day-to-day order taking. When you come across something you don’t understand / need help with, you reach out to anyone across the company or one of our vendor reps and you’ll get answers / guidance almost immediately.

You have driven your own success – by winning and managing large contractor accounts, driving Sales and Margins for the company and handsome increases in commissions for yourself. You have built meaningful friendships with Johnstone teammates and customers. You are respected for your drive / persistence, your ability to listen to your customers and helping them solve their problems. The owners of the group, Frank and Michelle, know you by name and support your creativity to solve customer problems and grow the business. Who you would work with:
You will work directly with the Sales Manager for AZ market, or the General Manager for the Market Ed Tellez. Ed’s an industry veteran with 5+ years at Johnstone. He is a great coach and mentor and will help you develop to your full potential in this role.
