Job Summary

Sales Representatives are responsible for account management, project quoting and promotion of Cemstone Products Co, Cemstone Supply, and associated Cemstone companies and products. This position represents Cemstone as a member of industry related associations and organizations, actively participates in industry trade shows, conducts product presentations to customers and owners.

  • Demonstrate leadership: exhibit fiduciary responsibility, while pursuing customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.  Communicate effectively, while establishing positive working relationships with key Customers and Cemstone personnel. 
  • Build Relationships:  Establish strong and open relationships with customers and colleagues based on trust and mutual benefits.  Display effective communication and working relationships with customers and Cemstone departmental personnel.
  • Customer Service:  Deliver superior customer satisfaction.  Respond to all customer concerns in a timely and resolute manner.
  • Account Management: Gain market share within existing customers through the sale of the complete line of Cemstone’s products and services including but not limited to; concrete, placing services, supply, aggregates, bagged products and masonry products.  Retain existing customer base and market share, while also seeking additional opportunities for expanding existing customer base.
  • Lead Generation:  Maintain consistent prospecting activity to ensure optimum sales activity; collaborate with Business Development as necessary.
  • Customer Development:  Develop and maintain a strategic plan to ensure growth within market share.
  • Activity Planning:  Continuously cultivate a productive routine based on strategic plan for customer base.
  • Project Tracking:  Track and report on all projects in assigned geographic territory from planning process through project award stages.
  • Project Bidding:  Review project plans, specifications, and additional documentation When necessary work with Engineering Services to determine correct products applicable to project specifications.
  • Continuous Education:  Develop ongoing product and market knowledge.
  • Resource Utilization:  Effectively utilize internal resources in each step of the sales cycle.
  • Perform Administrative Functions:  Ensure customer satisfaction and retention, while meeting Cemstone’s financial and administrative requirements.
  • Collect Accounts Receivable: May be called on to collect monies owed to Cemstone.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and industry experience.   
  • Sales experience in the concrete industry is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be or be able to become an ACI Field 1 Certified
  • Must be or be able to obtain ACI Flatwork Finisher Certification
  • Must be goal oriented, self-motivated and organized.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, specifiers, owners and suppliers.
  • Proficiently use a computer and programs such as Microsoft Office products and Customer Relationship Management Software.
  • May be required to perform field testing as needed on plastic concrete (i.e., slump, air, cast cylinders, etc.).
