Cloud DevOps Engineer

What You’ll Do

Under the direction of the IT Director you will design, program, integrate, and troubleshoot software applications to successfully integrate various functions in a coordinated manner to deliver results to the Shareholder’s requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs.
  • Managing stakeholders and external interfaces.
  • Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.
  • Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate their collaboration.
  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
  • Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other team members.
  • Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.
  • Troubleshooting techniques and fixing bugs in the code.
  • Incidence management and root cause analysis.
  • Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage.
  • Strive for continuous improvement, build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline.
  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower, and time necessary.
  • Provide clear goals for all areas of a project and develop steps to oversee timely execution.
  • Work closely with professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently.
  • Mentor and train team members throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide.
  • Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives.
  • Oversee enterprise cloud application integrations and automation processes.
  • Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs.

Education/Experience/Requirements

  • BS in computer science, related engineering field, or relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience developing and engineering applications for a large corporation.
  • Demonstrated project development and leadership skills.
  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
  • Advanced education and application of business analysis techniques and strategy.
  • Experience with software engineering customer experience preferred
  • Experience working together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan.
  • Professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications.
  • Professional work experience in team building and project organization.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
