Purpose:

The Video/Media Content Intern will provide support to the marketing department and work with the Marketing Manager; other duties will include assisting the marketing team in developing promotional materials, writing content for multiple communication channels, supporting key initiatives and other marketing campaigns and tactics. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision of the Marketing Manager, you will draft ideas for short video pieces about Baker Group staff, services and projects.
  • Online portfolio of photography/video work is strongly encouraged
  • Support marketing team with multimedia requests including planning, scheduling, production, and editing of video and photo projects for internal use
  • Use Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop, and other applications as necessary to edit dynamic video and photo projects for use on website and social media
  • Edit videos to include music, interviews, sound clips, and other important aspects of the project
  • Design or conceptualize motion graphics to enhance video content
  • Assist with development and distribution of social media content
  • Locate opportunities to apply expertise and add value to projects
  • Develop planning, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Develop team-based work proficiencies
  • Increase technical knowledge and skills

Minimum Education & Experience Required to Perform Essential Functions:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university working toward a degree in multimedia, film, videography, photography, or related visual communications discipline and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall
  • Proficient in operating a DSLR camera platform for capturing in-focus, properly exposed video footage and photographic images
  • Understanding of image composition
  • Experience with video/audio editing and post-production processes
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of video pre-production planning
  • Familiar with the creation of graphics and sound elements to enhance footage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
