Responsibilities
- Report to Warehouse Manager and General Manager
- Ensuring safety in all that we do.
- Complete preventative maintenance, diagnose, and repair McConnell and Associates fleet of equipment including; straight trucks, trailers, pick-ups, cars, fork lifts, and various types of small construction equipment.
- Complete general facility maintenance to tanks, agitators, and electrical motors.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation.
- Welding, cutting, and fabricating as needed.
- Perform mobile repairs as necessary.
- Assist with customer service in our “retail warehouse” and at our “showroom counter”.
- Assist warehouse crew with “warehouse duties”.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Physical demands include but are not limited to; lifting heavy objects, walking, and standing for extended periods of time and performing physical labor under adverse weather conditions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong work ethic with a desire to succeed.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Must have a relatively clean motor vehicle report. (Applicants w/ a drug or alcohol driving offense in the last five years will not be considered. Other violations will be evaluated using our insurance company standards.)
- Must be able to work 40 – 60 hours a week including Saturdays during our busy season (April – November) and 40 hours a week during the off season (December – March).
- One or more years’ welding experience preferred.
- One or more years’ experience of small engine maintenance preferred.
- One or more years’ experience operating a forklift preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Electrical systems / wiring lighting on trailers experience preferred.
- Gasoline Mechanic experience preferred.
- Construction Equipment Mechanic experience preferred.
- Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
- Airbrake experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
