WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Foreperson Trainee – Utility Pole Inspection

As a Foreperson Trainee you'll learn to operate as a top supervisory role for multiple job site locations. With proper industry experience and formal training, you will learn to direct, supervise and troubleshoot routine issues that occur on the job site.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hiring, training, managing, and supervising a crew of 1 to 5 people.
  • Maintain all tools, vehicle, and equipment.
  • Achieve expected safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Collect field data and maintain daily and weekly reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Safety

Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must:

Have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, be able withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous time a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Pre-Screen

  • Employees are required to subject to and pass both a pre-employment drug screen and background and/or MVR check.

Travel

  • From time to time, travel may be necessary
  • Employee must have reliable transportation to and from the startup location.

License & Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a clean Driving Record, free of any major moving violations within the last three years; minimal non-moving violations.

Additional

  • Computer and smart phone literate
  • Ability to read maps and navigate in congested areas.
  • Independently manage time and workload to meet deadlines.
  • Mechanically inclined and has experience with a variety of tools.
  • This is a minimum 40-hour work week with Saturdays considered inclement weather make-up days.
  • Willing to travel locally, statewide, and regionally as needed. Overnight stays will be necessary.

  • CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): seeing, reading, hearing-speech-range, speaking clearly
