Job Role

ProgenyHealth is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our Information Technology team. The Data Analyst will work directly with ProgenyHealth Stakeholders and the Enterprise Analytics team members within a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) model, using agile methods within DevOps to develop new analytics features for internal stakeholders and external clients. In addition, this role will develop interactive visualizations within Tableau to allow analysts, clinicians, and leaders to have an engaging, “ad-hoc lite” experience with the data (filtering, sorting, drilling-down) to facilitate good decision-making while providing ongoing support for dashboards, excel flat files, master data management and metadata management layers.

Responsibilities Include:

• Schedule design sessions and meet with internal Stakeholders to develop reporting/dashboard requirements and UAT plans.
• Track and update work within Azure DevOps using best practices.
• Deploy work through our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) model.
• Participate in Release Management meetings.
• Provide ongoing support for dashboards, reports, master data management and metadata management layers.
• Investigate performance issues with dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc query environments and mitigate those issues.
• Provide support to Data Analyst Intern and Junior Data Analysts as requested by leadership.

 Qualifications:

• 3+ years of SSMS experience. Must have the ability to write complex, highly optimized queries across large volumes of data.
• 3+ years of Visual Studio experience.
• 3+ years of creating and managing reports and interactive dashboards in Tableau.
• 3+ years of Industry experience in a report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology.
• Full understanding with the ability to articulate the difference between relational and dimensional data models.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and comfort presenting to everyone from entry-level employees to Senior Vice Presidents.
• Knowledge of ETL and data warehouse concepts and processes.
• Ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences.
• Sensitivity to stakeholder needs and able to develop warm relationships.
• Curiosity and passion about data, visualization and solving problems.
• Willingness to question the validity, accuracy of data and assumptions.
• Enjoyment from collaborating with others in team environment.
• Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• B.S. degree in math, statistics, computer science, information technology or equivalent technical field.
