Summary:
This position is for a full-time Research Assistant/Coordinator for ongoing prosthetics research focused on improving functional quality of life for people with lower limb amputation, working with a multi-disciplinary (e.g., rehabilitation medicine, engineering, prosthetics, biomechanics) team at the VA Center for Limb Loss and Mobility (CLiMB) in Seattle under the supervision and mentorship of the Principal Investigator, David Morgenroth, MD. The position currently focuses on a novel “test drive” strategy for prosthetic foot prescription.

Responsibilities (in collaboration with research team):
-    Human subjects data collection, processing and analysis (e.g., performance measures, questionnaires, biomechanics) 
-    Interaction with research participants to include but not limited to: participant recruitment, consenting, correspondence and scheduling
-    Mechanical testing of prosthetic feet including data collection, processing and analysis 
-    Draft/Assist with preparation of regulatory documents and correspondence (e.g., R&D, IRBs)
-    Establish and maintain records and  databases
-    Prepare study materials such as data collection forms and REDcap
-    Draft/Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual reports to study sponsor 
-    Track study equipment inventory and maintain study equipment
-    Organizing agendas, keeping meeting minutes and participating in regular study team meetings
-    Order study supplies as needed
-    Manage communications with our multisite team of collaborators
-    Maintain current educational and training requirements
-    Participate in study dissemination efforts (e.g., conference abstracts, peer reviewed manuscripts for journal submissions)
-    Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
-    Bachelor's degree in engineering, biological sciences or a related field
-    Excellent organizational and communication skills (i.e., written and oral)
-    Team oriented 

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
-    Research experience in biomechanics, engineering, and/or prosthetics 
-    Experience with scientific writing
-    Experience with Microsoft Office, MathWorks Matlab, Labview software
