Design your career at WSB & Associates, Inc! WSB seeks a hydrogeologist for our Minneapolis or St. Paul office.

What You Will Do: You will play a lead role on multiple small to large sized projects that involves working on a project team and coordinating the client’s expectations.  You will assist with municipal production well design and drilling; well siting studies; wellhead protection plans; and groundwater modeling efforts who ideally has experience working with the Twin Cities Area Groundwater Flow Model (Metro Model 2 and/or 3).  Additional tasks include evaluation of soil characteristics in support of environmental investigation and remediation efforts; quantitative analysis of hydrologic and hydrogeologic data (including probabilistic analysis and forecasting); develop and apply numerical groundwater flow and transport models in support of industrial development and site remediation.

What You Will Bring: The successful candidate will bring five or more years applicable experience; a BA or BS degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, or related field; and a desire to grow a new service area.  The candidate must have a demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving skills, and broad knowledge of geology, hydrogeology, and groundwater modeling.  Applicable experience includes municipal production well siting and construction; soil/bedrock identification and classification; surficial and bedrock aquifer modeling (preferably using MODFLOW); and working knowledge of state and federal regulations.  Candidate must demonstrate a willingness to complete field investigations including oversight of well installation; and planning, performance, and analysis of aquifer tests. The candidate must also possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
