BridgePhase is hiring a Software Developer to support our team that embraces an Agile methodology with an emphasis on automation, continuous integration and continuous delivery.  You will be supporting the design and development of secure Microservices, along with the refactoring of legacy applications into cloud native applications.  You will be responsible for writing high quality, defect-free, secure, extensible, and reusable code, and ensuring that code is protected and tested through rigorous automated testing practices.  All candidates must demonstrate a high degree of initiative, passion for innovation, a solid understanding of software engineering, and a willingness to work in a highly collaborative Agile and DevOps culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5 years of experience
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance
  • This position requires a rich understanding of IT architecture and modern software development concepts, tools, and practices
  • Specifically, applicants must demonstrate proficiency or a fundamental understanding with each of the following:
  • Continuous integration and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, JIRA)
  • Containers (e.g., Docker)
  • Cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Scripting languages and infrastructure automation languages (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Linux and Windows experience
  • Development experience (Python, Java, C/C++, Shell, Powershell, etc)

 Responsibilities

  • Works with the project team in a dynamic environment to develop and deploy state-of-the-art data center management and processing tools to support a major organization with the Department of Defense
  • Applies expertise in IT infrastructure and cloud computing to facilitate the integration, delivery, and deployment of deliverables
  • Executes on individual tasking which contributes to the success of larger systems in an environment that encourages autonomy
  • Effectively communicates ideas, findings, and progress – both verbal and written - to internal stakeholders, government sponsors, and trusted partners
