Gulf Coast Educators FCU is looking for a Senior Teller to assist the Teller Manager at our League City branch. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership characteristics and enjoys assisting the Teller Manager with coaching and mentoring corporate culture, exceptional member service, technical knowledge and skills to 'the face' of the Credit Union. This position can be uniquely challenging due to frequent turnover of entry level positions due to internal promotions. Must be able to enthusiastically embrace the challenges and continuously position the Teller staff for the next step. Previous supervisor or leadership roles are helpful but not required.

This position requires flexibility M-F from 7am-7pm but primary schedule is M-F 9am to 6pm, and alternating Saturdays.

• Responsible for assisting the Teller Manager with the training and development of new teller staff. This includes, but not limited to sitting with the new hires on a daily basis to ensure they feel comfortable and follow Credit Union policy, procedure and operations.
• Responsible for assisting with the security of teller cash drawers and for maintaining an adequate cash level to service the membership. Assists with maintaining and balancing the cash vault and Recycler's. May backup the Cashier in the absence of the Teller Supervisor/Branch Manager.
• To achieve or exceed the established sales and service goals through building of member relationships.
• Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders and cashier's checks to members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed.
• Responsible for assisting with the scheduling of day to day operations in the Drive-thru and Teller line, while ensuring member service levels requirements.

Must have previous teller experience responsible for balancing and cash management. A proven ability to make good decisions and work well with general public and employees is required.
