Job Purpose:    To provide excellent IT customer service to end users and all levels of the company. To support hardware and software systems to ensure they run efficiently and securely within the computer and telephone systems, including servers, desktops, laptops, printers and phones systems.

Primary Duties:

  • Supports and trains users regarding software systems, desktops, laptops, phones, tablets, smartphones, feature phones, wireless data cards, printers, copiers, scanners and more.
  • Supports remote users over VPN, Remote Desktop.
  • Supports computer networks environments in a multi-site environment.
  • Gathers data pertaining to customer needs and uses the information recommend changes and upgrades that provide efficient, effective, and timely use of computing systems.
  • Deploy workstations using imaging and other related technology.
  • Creates and updates documentation for the network, information systems, and internal IT processes.
  • Sets up new users and jobsite networks including the setup of workstations, laptops, email accounts, Internet Connections, and access to servers and software.
  • Performs equipment repairs on laptops, desktops, smartphones and other company equipment.
  • Maintains current and relevant Information Technology skills.
  • Adheres to all Hunter Contracting Co. safety policies, procedures and instructions from management.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
  • Support and become a pilot in our drone program.

Work Qualifications:

  • Desire to learn new skills and technologies
  • Hands on experience with desktop and laptop hardware.
  • Experience in a Microsoft domain environment.
  • Basic network and software troubleshooting.
  • Initiative to take ownership of a project and see it to successful completion.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft desktop operating systems.
  • Knowledge of customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other employees.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues and problems.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet goals or deadlines in a high activity environment.
  • Approaches work in a meticulous, thorough, and detailed manner; keeps files and work area organized.
  • Strict adherence to company confidentiality, values, and data integrity policies.
  • Ability to travel 15% 

Education & Work Experience Guidelines: 

  • GED or High School Equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience supporting end-users in a professional environment; AND,
  • 1-2 years of experience supporting Windows and Office in a corporate environment; OR,
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as determined by the hiring manager.
  • A valid Arizona Driver License and clean driving record.
