Salary Range: $68,441-$102,662

Responsibilities and skills to excell at:

Overseeing the operations of a moderate sized branch office of less than 10 staff, ensuring that the office is run in an efficient and productive manner while maintaining compliance with overall credit union policies and procedures. This position requires the employee to register as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry and obtain a unique identifier number prior to performing any function that would meet the definition of MLO activities.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building the business and executing a proactive sales culture.
  • Needs to have a strong focus on business development and representation within the community and surrounding areas.
  • Processes consumer, Business, and Home Equity Loans.
  • Directs, develops, motivates, hires and disciplines branch personnel; administers performance evaluations, coaches employees, and recommends appropriate personnel actions.
  • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Maintains communications with main office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
  • Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, miscellaneous businesses, suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
  • Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
  • Controls past due and charged off accounts for the branch.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the security and maintenance of the building and grounds.
  • Cross sells all credit union services to qualified members whenever possible and solicits business accounts whenever able.
  • Performs all functions within the branch as needed.
  • Keeps informed of the latest changes in consumer protection laws, current credit union policies and procedures, rate changes, and credit union issues.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  1. To maintain and develop a qualified staff sufficient to meet the needs of members.
  2. To provide friendly, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
  3. To complete performance reviews within the prescribed time frame.
  4. To develop and maintain business partner relationships within the community and area schools.
  5. To insure that of all product goals have been accomplished by the branch.
  6. To consistently meet attendance and punctuality expectations.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience         Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education            (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills          Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
