The ideal candidate will have industry experience working in construction mechanical contracting.   

Summary:           
JH Kelly is currently recruiting for an Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technician. This is a full-time Union position, with a Union wage and benefits package.

JH Kelly is one of the largest mechanical contractors in the greater Northwest area providing commercial, industrial, and retail service and installation.

Employment is contingent upon a verified negative drug test and DMV record check. Previous work experience will be verified. We are looking for someone who is team oriented, works well with limited supervision, is flexible with hours, has a good driving record, and can make a commitment to safety, quality, and production, while providing excellent customer service.


What You Will Be Doing:
Primary responsibilities include maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment and systems, ranging from single systems, hot gas systems, walk-in coolers, freezers, blast freezers, chillers, including replacing mechanical seals on pumps and compressors, performing motor alignments.

  • Knowledge and experience over multiple brands of equipment and multiple control systems
  • Understanding of ammonia refrigeration on an industrial level

Education/Experience:

  • An Oregon State Limited Electrical License is required, and Washington State preferred
  • Preference will be given to applicants with ammonia refrigeration and air-cooled experience
  • Must possess a valid driver license
  • Clean driving and background records

 Compensation & Benefits Package: 

  • Starting wage of $50.68 per hour for Union* Journeyman 
  • Sign-on bonus of $2000 to $4000
  • Discretionary bonus after the first year
