What You Will Do: You will be part of our Construction Services/Design Build Group and part of our Contract Administration team helping perform field observation, material sampling and testing, verify compliance with the plans and specifications, prepare pay estimates, and produce project documentation for private, municipal, county, MnDOT and federal projects. Documentation will include daily diaries, quantity calculations and backup documentation, letters, memos and spreadsheets. You may also help with proposals, project budgets and schedules and may be involved in design-build, pavement management, or a variety of other technical related activities. Opportunities are also available for winter design work with Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Microstation as well as assisting in other engineering disciplines. What You Will Bring: We have roles for all levels of people, but looks for folks who want to better themselves and want to be challenged. Excellent technical, communication, organizational skills and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record are required. Experience with the following is beneficial, but not required: current MnDOT certifications, MnDOT FieldOps or TRACS, civil engineering construction experience, or material testing experience. A two year technical degree from an accredited school in a field related to civil engineering construction is a plus, and a degree from a four year accredited college will only increase your opportunities and growth.
