Sales Associate Summary
The Sales Associate is a member of the Sales Department, who communicates with customers, independent haulers, vendors and potential customers by making themselves aware of potential sales opportunity and strategically searches for projects in line with company objectives. This role requires organization, goal orientation, self-directed with the ability to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision or supplied information.
Sales Associate Responsibilities
- Provide quotes to customers, receive and enter sales orders into dispatch as needed
- Seek out new and ongoing opportunities for projects requiring sales material
- Attend meetings and resolve issues, customer service concerns and regulatory compliance
- Monitor and update sales logs and ensure prices are updated and accurate
- Call LR and MSG customers to check what they need for the next day
- Enter in asphalt orders in XBE and update spreadsheet
Sales Associate Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving history required
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
- 2 years’ experience in customer service, plant ticket writing or similar preferred
- Microsoft Office Products- Outlook, Word and Excel
- Basic Math Skills- percentages, subtraction, addition
Work Conditions/ Physical Requirements
- 95% Office/ 5% Field
- Travel between sites where person will be exposed to loud noise, dust and odor.
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions
- Walking, standing and driving for long periods of time
