We are seeking Civil Engineering Technicians to join our Transportation group in our Minneapolis and St. Cloud Offices.
What You Will Do: Our engineering technicians play a vital role in delivering projects on time and within budget. Working in a team environment, you will develop clean and accurate construction documents on transportation projects for MnDOT, counties and cities using MicroStation and GEOPAK. You will draft / design roadways layouts, profiles, utilities, signing, striping, erosion control and other aspects of civil engineering projects. Your experience level will determine the amount of independent judgment granted, complexity of tasks performed and direct supervision received. Previous Microstation/Geopak experience is not required, but the candidate must show a high aptitude for learning new software.
What You Will Bring: The successful candidate must have at minimum a two-year degree in civil engineering technology or related field from a Technical / Community College or possess two years relevant work experience. You must have excellent communication skills, high level of attention to details, the ability to learn new software, the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tight deadlines and the desire to continually develop your drafting / design skills.
Our preferred candidate would have completed a two-year degree in civil engineering technology and possess two or more years of experience drafting or designing city, county or state civil engineering projects in Microstation/Geopak or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
