Del Amo Construction is hiring an Operations Assistant to aid the Preconstruction Team! Your position is vital to help the team become more efficient and grow the company.

The Position:

This position is the cog that keeps the estimating department well organized. You will be responsible for maintaining database information for our upcoming schedule of work. Also, you will be a vital part in transitioning the positive momentum of winning a project into the successful launch of the project management team. As well as the recirculating of lessons learned from a project back into Estimating. Internal to the department, you will coordinate and track progress of training programs for estimating new hires and ongoing improvement. Working with HR to turn the review feedback into a mapped-out training program for estimator looking to succeed in career ambitions. Additionally, you will aid the Chief Estimator and Business development teams in job setup.

Compensation Package:

  • 100% of the employee premium for HMO medical and dental is paid for by Del Amo Construction

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate transition of projects from Estimating to Project Management.
  • Track project transition loose ends for Estimating and Project Management department follow up.
  • Compile and distribute bid results.
  • Assist in subcontractor pre-qualification process.
  • Coordinate project team meetings and schedules as required.
  • Coordinate setup of projects and assigning of Estimating teams to access of our systems.
  • Documentation and preparation of meeting minutes.
  • Maintain database records.
  • Produce invoices and track payments received.
  • Coordinate employee training programs.
  • Support the Chief Estimator and Business Development personnel

 

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Office experience (Work, Excel, Teams, etc.).
