The Talent Acquisition Specialist will report directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager and will manage processes for the human resources department, including but not limited to, recruiting, staffing, training and HRIS. The individual must be a responsible, service-oriented with exceptional communication skills and have the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.  The Talent Acquisition Specialist will serve as the primary contact for all phases of the recruiting process, both internally and externally.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Post positions internally and externally to appropriate internet or newspapers; search resumes online; use social and professional networking sites to identify and acquire candidates.
  • Contact applicants to schedule and complete phone screens, interviews, background checks and physicals.
  • Prepare employment offer letters and other applicant related correspondence.
  • Conduct new employee orientations ensuring that all required new hire paperwork is properly completed and process new hires in HRIS (ADP WFN).
  • Responsible for evaluating the new hire processes and providing feedback and suggestions for simplification and streamlining policies and procedures.
  • Proactively plan and coordinate recruiting efforts and job fairs. Establish and maintain community networks with local colleges and technical schools, workforce centers, trade organizations, to develop talent pipelines to meet workforce needs.
  • Lead various projects, including: identify essential job functions and update job descriptions; make recommendations for alternative hiring initiatives for hard-to-fill positions and conduct 60 day new employee interviews.
  • Maintain compliance with EEO/Affirmative Action programs including applicant tracking system (Birddog) and outreach efforts.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training programs.
  • Manage and continue to develop corporate internship program.
  • Process and promote employee referral incentive program.
  • Answer questions and inquiries involving HR policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For :

  • Three (3) years of experience in Human Resources and leading recruitment strategies for a broad range of positions; drivers, plant personnel, professional and manager.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills including intermediate to advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and ADP Payroll system preferred.
  • Experience maintaining a social media presence and applicant tracking system.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources principles, concepts and practices.
