As an Account Executive, you will create and capture the capture demand for Climatec’s energy and water infrastructure solutions across multiple public sector verticals, including cities, K-12, higher education, and water/wastewater districts.

The Arizona energy services market is fast paced and highly competitive. Successful candidates must possess the acumen and professional confidence to maintain relationships with chief decisionmakers and elected officials while representing Climatec at various events, forums, and tradeshows.

Office location is Phoenix, AZ. The position requires up to 50% travel with a flexible weekly schedule, including 3-4 days per week working on the road or in a local office, plus 1-2 days working from home.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete a 12-month training program, which includes an apprenticeship under the Senior Sales Team and Senior Executive Team.
  • Gain fluency in all phases of the lead cycle, sales process, and technical product/service offerings.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through various marketing, sponsorship, and community engagement activities.
  • Develop a business plan that outlines key strategies and activities necessary to generate prospects and cultivate new opportunities.
  • Meet with prospective customers to understand business needs and match potential solutions through a consultative approach.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing client relationships through industry contacts, professional organizations and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Sales Team to define and achieve short & long-term
  • Help develop:
    • PowerPoint presentations
    • Proposals and other customer deliverables
    • RFQ and RFP responses
    • Market research & call/meeting briefings
    • Input for Salesforce CRM and contact management 
  • Develop a network of contacts with influential stakeholders and policymakers within the market verticals we serve.
  • Marketing & public relations deliverables/activities.
  • Participate in panel interviews, presentations, board/council meetings and study
  • Attend sponsored events, conferences, and other There are:

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years’ experience in business, sales, marketing, tech or construction
    • College internships and other transferrable experience will be considered.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal
  • Effective problem solving and organizational skills, including time-management, planning, organization, and task prioritization
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize and focus on most important tasks while managing constant changes in planned schedules to meet changing requirements and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Residency in Arizona, plus willing to travel throughout the territory approximately 50% of the time.
  • A major plus, but not required to have an understanding of public sector, city governance, K-12 governance, higher education, energy & water efficiency, renewables, sustainability, construction, finance, and/or public relations.

  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record, which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive a company vehicle or receive auto allowance.
