We are seeking a Senior Manager, Communications to join our team. We’re looking for a strategic thinker and collaborative team player with proven ability to create and implement outcomes-based communications, proactive strategies, and tactics that advance business initiatives. This dynamic, high energy, results-oriented communications leader will partner with internal & external partners/experts to ensure effective execution of communication programs and initiatives.

What you will do

  • Develop overall internal and external communication strategy, via a detailed integrated plan, including themes, messaging, and varied internal and external tools and tactics aligned to the business goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and manage an integrated editorial calendar that outlines important communication activities, and ensures coordination between internal and external communications strategies, messages, and tactics.
  • Provide strategic direction & execute plans to build upon our high performing inclusive culture in line with the Corza Medical’s vision & strategy. Collaborate with HR on internal communication initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
  • Identify creative ways to pull through and amplify messages, using multiple internal and external channels.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts and inform improvements/adjustments to future initiatives.
  • Manage projects, budgets, and vendors to ensure the timely, cost-effective delivery of high-quality, on-brand work.
  • Lead media relations. Design and develop external communications collateral including, press releases, media materials and Q&A documents.
  • Collaborate with peers within Corza Medical to lead integrated communication projects across the business, improve processes, drive new approaches to communications and elevate the value of the function.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the business, products, markets, competitors, and serve as a key business partner, trusted advisor, and change agent.
  • Develop senior executive communication program in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Serve as “reporter” on the team to help translate high science into lay-friendly and compelling content.
  • Partner with external communications agencies/vendors, as needed
  • Corporate Marketing and Human Resources are primary partners/leaders for this role to ensure effective strategic internal and external communications capability.

 What you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business, science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience creating and implementing successful corporate communications within a complex and heavily matrixed corporate environment. Experience in healthcare medial/PR Relations or in-house experience in pharmaceuticals/biotech preferred.
  • Proactive and forward thinking with a track record of anticipating, and developing plans to address future events, trends, problems and opportunities.
  • Ability to get things done through effective partnering and collaboration; open to trying different, creative ways to deal with business challenges and opportunities to ensure objectives are met.
  • Strong influencer and partner to peers and senior leaders across the organization; ability to leverage relationships to help navigate the complex and ambiguous situations that may arise.
  • Executive gravitas to hold their own with senior leaders internally and with external constituents.
  • Social media experience; Creative thinking with global and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects (timelines, budgets, priorities) simultaneously; flexibility with a results-oriented focus.
