Position Description
Responsible for the picking, loading and unloading of Company orders in a safe and efficient manner. Assists in the organization and maintenance of the contents of both the yard and warehouse. Perform delivery and pick-up routes as needed.
Duties to include but are not limited to the following:
- Fulfilling orders received from the Warehouse Manager
- Pick, pack, and load onto trucks
- Verify quantity and quality of tools and materials in the order
- Complete the inventory paperwork for each order
- Test small tools and equipment to ensure they are working properly before sending out
- Prep small tools and equipment as needed prior to sending out
- Order fulfillment must be made in a timely, safe and efficient manner
- Assist in inventory counts when requested
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Assist in the cleanliness and organization of the yard and warehouse per Company protocol
- Receiving materials, small tools and equipment into the warehouse
- Unload trucks
- Complete return paperwork
- Test small tools and equipment to ensure they are working properly
- If not, tag and report to Warehouse Manager so items may be repaired
- Operate an industrial forklift to pick and load or unload materials and equipment
- Drive routes in Company vehicles provided by Warehouse Manager:
- Pick-up items from Vendor accounts to fulfill an order
- Deliver orders to the jobsites
- Remove materials and tools from jobsites
- All driving, loading and unloading performed according to the Safety Procedures set forth by Company and Law Enforcement
Physical Requirements
- While safely performing the duties of Warehouse Employee, the following is regularly required:
- Sit, stand, walk and use his/her hands and arms to handle, carry and reach
- Sit for extended periods while driving a vehicle or operating a forklift
- Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly lift up to 50-lbs and occasionally up to 100-lbs with the use of lifting partner or lifting device
- Tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter Schedule Requirements
- Monday through Friday day shifts
- Possible nightwork partial shifts when requested by Warehouse Manager
- Possible overtime during the week and/or weekend shifts
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid California Class C driver's license and clean driving record [Required]
- Haz endorsement [preferred]
- Asbestos Certification [preferred]
- Forklift Certification [preferred]
- OSHA certification [preferred]
Education
- High School or equivalent [preferred]
- Fluent Spanish [Required]
Compensation
- $16 - $20 per hour depending on experience and licenses/certifications
