EMR, Inc. is accepting resumes for an Assistant to provide support to the Chief Estimator and Senior Project Manager on construction projects located in the Gulf Coast area, US.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
*Assisting with project management. This may include, but is not limited to: Helping manage projects normally during slow bid season. During heavy bid season, Senior Project Managers (PMs) will work with you to help assemble bids. The Project Manager’s work tasks include, but are not limited to: prepare accurate, timely and detailed project status reports. Reports will include a description of work completed to date, the work schedule going forward, deviations from the previous report, subcontractor change orders and customer issues and/or project scope changes. Review and approve all expenditures for project on a monthly basis and to ensure that all invoice/applications for payment have an accurate and detailed schedule of values, and are in accordance with purchase orders, and subcontract terms and conditions are processed (approved/authorized) in a timely manner. Regularly update project schedules and prepare project management correspondences and document all aspects of the project including customer meeting minutes, team assignments/action item tracking, letters, memorandums, and transmittals. Perform on-site safety oversight, project scheduling, budget management, on site management of supervisors, coordination of subcontractors, materials delivery, submittals delivery, and project closeout. Ensure construction schedule is followed and project remains on budget
* Assisting with estimating. This may include, but is not limited to: estimate all projects; assemble proposals and prepare them for submission; follow Design Build projects through to 100% design writing all subcontracts and preparing schedules; upon award of Design/Bid/Build projects, write subcontract scopes and prepare preliminary schedules; present recommendations to EMR management on who to subcontract to; once bid cost is assembled, the EMR management will make final decisions on markups and final bid price; track projects to bid and present to management to make final determination of which jobs to bid; work with Chief Estimator and Estimating Coordinator to make sure all projects are sent to subcontractors and get on correct project listing sites.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, and Certifications
* Minimum 2 years' overall experience in construction project management and/or relevant field.
* Minimum 1 year experience of being on-site in the construction field.
* College degree with emphasis in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Primavera P6 is a plus.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Demonstrate a professional demeanor.
* Valid driver's license with good motor vehicle record.
Preferred Experience, Education, Skills, and Certifications
* USACE Quality Control Management Certificate
* OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety Training
* Experience in construction government DoD projects preferred.
* Experience working with city, government, and other inspectors on construction projects preferred.
