JH Kelly offers internship opportunities for students majoring in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Instrumentation, Industrial Health & Safety, and related fields. As an intern you be mentored by a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Estimating staff or Safety Professional. You will learn and have exposure to multiple facets of the construction process including but not limited to the following:

• Write RFI’s
• Assist with solving field issues
• Procure material due to shorts or RFI responses
• Assist in preparing Submittals and keep Submittal Log current
• Assist with Change Order Estimating as needed
• Promote safety and our safety culture
• Observe work in progress to ensure its being performed per the applicable IFC drawings and specifications
• Assist Project/Field Engineer in daily job tasks as needed
• Perform drawing Take-offs as needed
• Maintain proactive relationships within the crafts including apprentices, journeymen, supervision and staff
• Maintain proactive relationships with client representatives, suppliers, subcontractors and accounting

Duration & Schedule:  Full-time during summer break (up to 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday) - 12 weeks (May-August & June-September)

Compensation: $19-$26 per hour, depending on grade level - FLSA non-exempt (OT eligible)
