Job Description

Performs any combination of the following duties on construction projects, usually working in utility capacity, by transferring from one task to another where demands require worker with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision.

DUTIES:

  • Handles power tools, sawing and nailing
  • Operates motorized equipment
  • Installs and removes construction material at heights above ground
  • Stands and walks on narrow surfaces for the erection and dismantling of materials

Required Skills

  • Physically workers must be able to:
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Have full use of arms and hands and the ability to reach for, handle and manipulate objects
  • Frequently lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
  • Carry tools and equipment
  • Be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl for long periods of time
  • Be able to see (naturally or with correction)

The environment is exclusively outdoors, thus the job often involves all weather extremes.  Work requires alert individuals with good balance, physical strength and on-the-job training.
