Job Summary:
Urban Engineers, Inc. is seeking both a Senior Electrical Engineer and Electrical Engineer to join our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Department. This position will be responsible for the electrical system design of commercial, institutional, and residential building projects.
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation of construction drawings and specifications for submission to jurisdictional plan check and permitting
- Design full electrical systems including low voltage power distribution, lighting systems and controls, branch circuiting, and fire alarm systems.
- Prepare load analysis for different stages of design
- Prepare drawings detailing the system designed
- Communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience Level Requirements
- 10 - 15 years of experience working on Electrical Engineering projects for Senior Electrical Engineer
- 3 - 9 years of experience working on Electrical Engineering projects for Electrical Engineer
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required for Senior Electrical Engineer, preferred for Electrical Engineer
- Ability to work independently
- Senior Electrical Engineer must have the ability to supervise and mentor junior Electrical Engineers
- AutoCAD and Revit experience is required
- Experience with SKM Power Tools is required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must live within or be relocating to within a reasonable commute of our Philadelphia, PA or Cherry Hill, NJ offices.

Salary: $110000 - $210000 / year
The rate of pay depends on experience level and location.
