What You'd Be Doing
- Physically demanding work for 10+ hours in outside weather conditions from April to the beginning of November
- Prepping company vehicles at the start of the day (load trucks with tools, for example)
- Using a shovel, lute, scraper, vibrating compator, and other hand tools to place and level asphalt, rock, etc.
- Walking, crouching, shoveling, bending, and other physcially demanding movements throughout the day
- Using hand signals to communicate with equipment operators including dump truck drivers delivering asphalt
- Unloading and fueling company trucks at the end of the day
Seasonal Employment
Working as a seasonal employee is a way of life. You work hard - in outdoor conditions - for 8 months but then get 4 months of free time to do what you want. Position Requirements
- Driver's License with insurable driving record
- Dependable attendance. Arrive to work on-time, ready to go every day
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Have clarity of speech and hearing so you can communicate effectively
- Have sufficient vision including depth perception and peripheral vision
- Have sufficient manual dexterity to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
- Lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Stand, sit, squat, kneel, bend, crouch, twist, reach, and use a ladder as needed
Work Schedule
- Work overtime on a regular basis
- Available to work nights and weekends as needed
