What You'd Be Doing

  • Physically demanding work for 10+ hours in outside weather conditions from April to the beginning of November
  • Prepping company vehicles at the start of the day (load trucks with tools, for example)
  • Using a shovel, lute, scraper, vibrating compator, and other hand tools to place and level asphalt, rock, etc.
  • Walking, crouching, shoveling, bending, and other physcially demanding movements throughout the day
  • Using hand signals to communicate with equipment operators including dump truck drivers delivering asphalt
  • Unloading and fueling company trucks at the end of the day

Seasonal Employment

Working as a seasonal employee is a way of life. You work hard - in outdoor conditions - for 8 months but then get 4 months of free time to do what you want.  Most employees file for unemployment and relax, travel, or hunt during the off season. Position Requirements

  • Driver's License with insurable driving record
  • Dependable attendance. Arrive to work on-time, ready to go every day
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Have clarity of speech and hearing so you can communicate effectively
  • Have sufficient vision including depth perception and peripheral vision 
  • Have sufficient manual dexterity to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Stand, sit, squat, kneel, bend, crouch, twist, reach, and use a ladder as needed

Work Schedule

  • Work overtime on a regular basis
  • Available to work nights and weekends as needed
