TG Gallagher is seeking an MEP BIM Coordinator familiar with mechanical construction. The MEP BIM Coordinator will assist in coordinating drawings for installation and prefabrication of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems within commercial buildings. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Navisworks and CAD software (Revit and AutoCAD) and will be creative in meeting goals with an eye on efficiency and workflow. The MEP BIM Coordinator will work with Lead Coordinators on project teams in both an office and project environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working under the supervision of a BIM/CAD Manager the MEP BIM Coordinator will:

  • Work with a Lead Coordinator to review drawings
  • Perform clash detection on in progress coordination projects using Navisworks
  • Develop and maintain a schedule a log of projects which have been clashed
  • Create a clash report for the different trades working for TGG
  • Load latest drawings from various trades into model
  • Post latest drawings / file from TGG to various file sharing sites as required
  • Assist in development and implementation of Revit standards
  • Setup drawing from Revit models for Lead Coordinators for use in Revit
  • Set-Up Trade Drawings (HVAC,FP,PL) and Title blocks
  • Adding Layers/text styles/ dim styles
  • Set-up Drawings (DUCT, ARCH, STEEL, ELEC, OTHER TRADES)
  • Review and setup specifications and submittals for equipment
  • Obtain 3D equipment from Vendor in Revit
  • Model equipment in 3D using Revit
  • Downloading or create blocks for equipment per submittals

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Microsoft Office Products
  • Proficient in Navisworks
  • Familiar with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
