OBJECTIVE: The RCFI Administrative Assistant is expected to provide administrative assistance to support ISA’s Research Center for Farming Innovation’s (RCFI) and Agriculture’s Clean Water Alliance (ACWA). Duties include scheduling, record keeping, data entry, coordination of meetings, coordinating direct mailings, and working on special projects. This position reports to the Senior Director of Research. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide administrative support for RCFI Senior Director of Research, Directors of Research and Conservation
  • Provide administrative support for Executive Director and ACWA’s Membership & Communications Coordinator
  • Provide administrative support to RCFI Outreach and Engagement Coordinator and RCFI staff including copying, texting, mailings, drafting/mail merging letters, handling requested correspondence, creating and/or recording surveys, data entry within CRM, etc
  • Assist with travel and expense report coordination to include: travel plans, hotel reservations and submission of expenses per ISA policy
  • Marketing distribution assistance for RCFI events, projects, grassroots forums, etc
  • RCFI & ACWA scheduling in person and/or virtual meetings and meeting assistance with materials (name badges, registration, packets, etc.); room or venue set-up; and staffing when appropriate
  • Assistance with preparation and coordination for ACWA executive committee meetings, work group meetings, and board meetings
  • Assistance with ACWA networking, educational, and member retention & recruitment events
  • Assist with editing and proofing of print materials
  • Assistance with meeting minutes

TRAVEL

  • This position requires minimal to some travel. All travel will generally be within Iowa.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • This position has no supervisory responsibility.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of office administrative or manager related experience
  • Proficient with Office 365 and Zooms

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree preferred, in business management or related field
  • A combination of education and experience is acceptable
