What You'd Be Doing
- Physically demanding work for 10+ hours in outside weather conditions from April to the beginning of November
- Assisting others to ensure the asphalt plant runs smoothly
- Using a shovel, screwdriver, wrench, pneumatic hammer/drill, and other hand tools to move aggregates and for light repairs
- Walking, crouching, shoveling, bending, and other physcially demanding movements throughout the day
Seasonal Employment
Working as a seasonal employee is a way of life. You work hard - in outdoor conditions - for 8 months but then get 4 months of free time to do what you want. Position Requirements
- Dependable attendance. Arrive to work on-time, ready to go every day
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Climb up and down to heights of 100 feet
- Have clarity of speech and hearing to communicate effectively
- Have sufficient vision including depth perception and peripheral vision
- Have sufficient manual dexterity to use hand tools for light repair and maintenance
- Lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 pounds as needed
- Stand, sit, squat, kneel, bend, crouch, twist, reach, and climb
Work Schedule
- Work overtime on a regular basis
- Available to work overnight and on weekends
