Hourly Range: $49.19 - $51.78

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Journeyman Lineman will perform the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground high voltage power lines. This position will set poles and change pole equipment; string and sag wire; handle oil-filled equipment; pull, lay, and terminate underground cable; install pad-mounted equipment; work on poles, in bucket trucks, in heights and close proximity to high voltages, in trenches, in vaults; and operate and work around heavy equipment. This position works with other departments and assists other employees as directed within the scope of their qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A High School Diploma or G.E.D with a completed registered Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship program. Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class “A”) with ability to meet all DOT requirements. Experience working on all types of distribution lines including 4kv to 21kv and all related equipment required. This position requires the ability to be on-call on a rotating basis, to work various hours, weekends, evenings. The candidate will be required to live within a 30-minute response radius of the principle place of work and respond to call-out on a 24-hour basis. Must maintain effective working relationships with other employees, members and the public. The position requires a highly motivated individual with the ability to work productively in a team atmosphere.
