We are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation group in our Minneapolis office.
What You Will Do: You will use your knowledge and experience of traffic operations and modeling to deliver successful government initiatives. Your workload will include:
- Traffic forecasting and modeling,
- Creating and analyzing transportation plans,
- Leading traffic impact studies,
- Performing capacity analyses for local and state highway and interchange projects,
- Traffic design and operations analysis,
- Performing Intersection capacity evaluations including roundabouts, and
- Performing safety and access studies.
You may also analyze various transportation and transit scenarios involving various multi-modal options including buses, light-rail transit, commuter rail, bicycles and pedestrians.
Your experience level will determine the complexity of tasks performed and the amount of independence in managing and performing this work.
What You Will Bring: The successful candidate will have ten or more years of engineering experience managing traffic engineering projects for city, county and state clients. You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and possess a Minnesota PE license or have the ability to obtain a Minnesota PE license within six months. You will be proficient with traffic modeling software and have a good understanding of traffic engineering. Our preferred candidate will have experience with MnDOT and Minnesota counties and cities and modeling experience using Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, CORSIM, and RODEL.
