Responsibilities:
- Perform cutting and welding operations on aluminum buss and jumpers according to established specifications and quality standards.
- Weld aluminum components while adhering to proper welding techniques and safety guidelines.
- Handle jumpers with current capacities ranging from 350 aac to 1590 aac efficiently and effectively.
- Verify measurements and ensure precision in welding to meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless workflow and project completion.
- Work outdoors for up to 10 hours a day, standing and performing welding tasks.
- Operate at heights of up to 75 ft while maintaining safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to stand, crouch, and move comfortably for extended periods.
- Participate in 100% travel time as required, taking on substation construction tasks when not engaged in welding duties.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Aluminum Welder.
- Proficiency in cutting and welding aluminum buss and jumpers.
- Experience working with jumpers ranging from 350 aac to 1590 aac is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and welding techniques.
- Comfortable working outdoors for extended shifts, up to 10 hours a day.
- Capable of working at heights of up to 75 ft while maintaining safety protocols.
- Ability to stand and crouch for prolonged periods as required by the job.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Prior experience in industrial welding projects is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively and engage in substation construction projects.
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma preferred
• Two-three years verifiable and relevant experience
