 As a Class A Driver at Oxbow PLC, you will play a crucial role in our operations by safely and efficiently transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites. You will uphold our commitment to quality, reliability, and professionalism while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company-owned Dump Trucks and other designated equipment.
  • Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured to prevent shifting or spillage during transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inspections, and any incidents.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating vehicles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker/Double Triples endorsements preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in landscape construction or related field.
  • Clean driving record with no DUI/DWI convictions within the last 5 years.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Physical ability to load/unload materials and operate heavy equipment as needed.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle rules and regulations, particularly for California.
  • Minimum age requirement: 25 years old.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience driving in the North Bay area is a plus.
  • Familiarity with operating dump trucks, flatbeds, loaders, backhoes, mini excavators, and skid steers preferred.
  • Current DOT Medical Card.
  • Must be safety-minded, organized, and reliable.

 

Language: Bilingual Preferred (English & Spanish)

Work Location: Job sites vary and between Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties.

Work Environment: Work is performed in outdoor environments; some exposure to varying temperatures; exposure to dust, steam, controlled and hazardous substances, pesticides, herbicides, gases and chemicals; working around electrical current, and moving machinery parts; regular contact with staff and the public

Equipment Used: Frequent use Excavators, skid steers, and loaders, or general construction and landscaping tools.

Essential Physical Tasks: Frequently sit for extended periods; stand and walk or crouch on uneven surfaces and may occasionally be required to lift up to 75 lbs. without assistance; stoop, kneel, bend to pick up or move objects, office equipment, plants, or tools ; physical ability to push and pull objects weighing up to 150 pounds with assistance; normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication;
