About the Position  

We are seeking a candidate who is willing to work in the field as a lead process mechanical pipefitter. This person must be a professional communicator and capable of reading plans and specifications to provide complete and working process treatment equipment systems. This person should be willing to follow company policies and values and thrive in a team setting.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting pay is $56-70 an hour, depending on experience.
  • Housing available on an as-needed basis.
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage is available on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.
  • 401K match on eligible wages and available for eligible employees on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. IMCO offers 100% contribution matching up to 4% of the employee’s eligible wages.  

Responsibilities  

This is an overview of responsibilities and may not include all duties required of the position. 

  • Lead a team in the field with a professional demeanor
  • Confidentiality is a high priority on his project
  • Capable of being self-motivated when accomplishing tasks
  • Ensure that the new pipe is cut, threaded, and assembled, placing the assembled pipe in hangers or other supports.
  • Cut or drill holes in walls or floors to accommodate the passage of pipes.
  • Assist in the layout, assembly, and installation of piping for various systems.
  • Assembles and installs a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings, using threaded caulked, soldering, brazen, fused, glue, or cemented joints, and hand tools.
  • Secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools.
  • Mount brackets and hangers on walls and ceilings to hold pipes and set sleeves or inserts to provide support for pipes.
  • Read and understand water waste/water equipment installation plans
  • Install water waste/water equipment within existing buildings
  • Understanding water & waste/water equipment start-up and commissioning procedures

Location & commitments 

  • Project Location – Moses Lake, Washington
  • Hours - Full-time hours and overtime is anticipated
  • Schedule - 4-10 schedule with a high likelihood of moving to a 5-10 schedule
  • Travel – On-site daily – flexibility to go home on weekends
  • Project Duration – End of September to August 2025, with future work secured

Requirements and Qualifications 

  • 5 years as a process mechanical pipefitter required, working on various mechanically operated systems
  • Minimum 1 year in a lead position preferred
  • Stand / walk for 8+ hours per day
  • Frequent use of stairs, ramps, ladders and stools
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Extended periods of overhead work
  • Current and valid driver’s license, free of any major violations
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to read plans and drawings with math skills
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Pre-employment drug testing required
  • Criminal background check required
