DESCRIPTION
The SSD Technician is responsible for the installation, adjustment and maintenance of all types of detention related equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation
- Provide skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas
- Services CCTV, access control security systems, H.I.D. systems, intercom and paging systems
- Completes maintenance, within assigned hours, in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero call backs
- Install and integrate security control systems: access control, video surveillance, intercom systems, video visitation systems, duress systems,
- Install and maintain equipment including, but not limited to, cylindrical, mortise, and rim locks, motor and manually driven detention equipment, detention locks, slider service and maintenance
- Install and maintain frames, doors, hardware, locks, sliders, furniture and door closers
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembling electronics
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and filed representatives as necessary
- Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment
- Adjust and replace defective or improperly functions circuitry and electrical components
- Test electronic units, using standard test equipment, a analyze results to evaluate performance
- Develop understanding and take part in Field Quality Control and Quality Assurance process
- Clear understanding of contractual obligations for each maintenance or service agreement
- Lift up to 50lbs
- Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
- Travel to Various projects as assigned
- Maintain the standards, culture and values of CML Security
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 Year of related experience or equivalent education preferred or a state recognized apprenticeship training
- OSHA-10 certification
Pay Range: $25 to $50 Hourly
