The Position:

We are looking for an experienced Fiber Technician for various projects that complements ISC’s culture of integrity.

Applicants should have the ability to:

• Install single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables in an industrial construction environment
• Fusion splicing, verification testing, troubleshooting and fiber optic cable repair
• Installing support structures (ladders racks, j-hooks, cable trays etc.)
• Perform fiber tests with OTDR’s, light source and meters
• Terminate, splice and install a variety of fiber optic connectors and enclosures
• Responsible for day to day operations and maintenance of company equipment

Qualifications:

• TWIC card - (Transportation Worker Identification Credential); Go to TWIC website for more information
• Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug/alcohol test5+ years of experience of installing, terminating and/or splicing fiber in an industrial environment
• Must be proficient in splicing, terminating Anaerobic connectors and/or Unicam connectors
• Proficient in the operation of all related fiber tools and equipment
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics and line diagrams
• Fiber certificates (installer, designer, etc.), a plus
