Reports to: VP of Construction
The Summer Intern will assist the Project Management and Design Team with management of HVAC and Plumbing design and construction. The duties and responsibility are as follows.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current college student pursuing Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Able to work Monday-Friday (8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.) with occasional additional hours needed based upon project deadlines and business needs.
- Able to work individually under general supervision, or with a diverse team.
- Possess current, valid driver’s license (not under suspension or limitation) with reliable transportation to get to different sites if needed.
- Communicate effectively in English (aural, verbal, and written).
- Must be customer service-oriented and able to adapt new techniques to better serve clients.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities and information.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills; able to manage/resolve conflict professionally.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word Process, Outlook, Power Point)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Project Team with project set up and planning that consist of tracking design revisions, submittals, RFI’s, Mechanical and PLBG Equipment.
- Assist the Project Team with creating Purchase Orders and Subcontracts.
- Assist the Project Team with tracking and creating change order proposals.
- Assist the Project Team with project closeout requirements that consist of creating maintenance logs, owner and operators manuals, warranty documents etc.
- The Summer Intern will get the opportunity to work in the Design, Estimating, Project Management, Virtual Design, & Fabrication Departments to gain experience in all facets of Mechanical Contracting. The Intern will also work on multiple projects.
