This role is with GLEESON, in partnership with Michael Foods, located in Norwalk, Iowa.

Starting wages are $23–$32 per hour! Prior experience in construction or a related field is a plus, but we’re open to those eager to learn and grow in the industry! APPLY TODAY to jump-start your career!

General Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled workers as directed, supporting tasks like demolition, material handling, and basic construction work.
  • Unload and distribute materials, such as lumber, to designated areas per project plans and supervisor guidance.
  • Prepare job sites by digging, scaffolding, and clearing debris, ensuring each area is safe and ready for the day's tasks.
  • Operate various hand and power tools with care and precision.
  • Direct traffic in and around work zones for safety.
  • Assist equipment operators with machinery alignment and adjustments.
  • Complete end-of-day job site cleanup, disposing of waste and storing materials or equipment securely.
  • Help with moving and positioning materials for formwork, structural steel, and concrete.

Requirements

  • Commitment to following Gleeson's high safety standards.
  • Basic knowledge or willingness to learn concrete and construction techniques.
  • Strong physical endurance and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Flexibility to perform additional tasks as needed.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment, post-offer drug screen and physical is required.
