JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting with daily operation activities of Lakeshore counseling for both Northshore and Southshore offices and Health Services Support components. LCC components include scheduling, copay/deductible payments, denials, billing, counselor credentialing, collections, and customer/counselor care needs. HSS components include invoicing, billing, processing, and quality assurance activities. This position is also responsible for assisting case managers and supervisory staff with needs that arise during the delivery of program services, programmatic data entry direct service billing; and checking requests and invoicing processes.  Program invoicing, vendor payment and data entry will also be important duties in this position.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Posting of co-payments/insurance payments into Theranest.
  2. Scheduling appointments for Lakeshore Counseling clientele
  3. Make deposits for LCC
  4. Back-up staff person to LCC receptionist, which includes mornings, nights, or weekends.
  5. Medical Billing and Denials for LCC, Insurance verification processor
  6. Maintaining active documents for license, insurance, and credentialing for counselors.  Assists counselor with the credentialing process.
  7. Assist with collections activities to ensure that client balances are paid timely.
  8. Routine interaction with contract and full-time employees during and after hours as program needs arise, including group texts and chats with full-time and contract counselors.
  9. Actively identify and enroll program into new insurance opportunities and EAPs
  10. Assist in preparing Funder monthly invoices, Agency and Funder monthly and quarterly reports for Volunteers of America SELA and for the Office of Public Health-STD/HIV Program.
  11. Assist with invoicing, identifying discrepancies with Filebound, Careware, and the GL during invoicing.
  12. Act as a liaison between counselors, program staff, and program leadership
  13. Complete payroll for Lakeshore contract counselors.
  14. QA/verification for LCC notes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

This position requires the individual to possess strong interpersonal communication and computer skills, encompassing all of the Microsoft Office programs. Must be willing to learn more advanced computer programs and have at least two years of supervision or program management experience.  Must have experience and knowledge of medical billing and credentialing.   Must be able to maintain consumer confidentiality at all times.
