Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at our Houston Team Office.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Houston, TX

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary

Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs basic engineering calculations including voltage drop, conduit fill, and cable tray fill per NEC.
  • Oversees the implementation of new instrumentation devices and control systems, ensuring devices are correctly installed and properly tested.
  • Interfaces with client personnel to ensure deliverables and analyzes process control equipment based on bid requests.
  • Collaborates with others to develop control system equipment and instrumentation specifications with safety, usability standards, and client expectations.
  • Ensures design package is compliant with relevant Codes and Standards.
  • Designs and develops instrumentation and control systems to meet those needs.
  • Provides concise, factual project designs, allowing for effective construction/installation.
  • Creates manhour estimates for front-end engineering and design construction packages.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 3-7 years of professional working experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Experience Preferred:

  • Knowledge of electrical or process instrumentation systems in plant facilities.
  • Familiarity with Rosemount instrumentation and Rockwell PLCs.
  • P.E. in Control Systems or Electrical Power.
