JOB SUMMARY: Lead the coordination on projects using Revit and Navisworks processes. This includes but not limited to: Apply plumbing and mechanical installation knowledge to coordinate piping systems and equipment with various other trades in a virtual building, Lead and educate junior coordinators on plumbing and mechanical installations in a virtual building.  

 
JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 5+ Years of Mechanical/Plumbing Pipe trade experience (field or virtual) 
  • Foreman/Leadman level knowledge and skills of reading and understanding contract documents (blueprints, specifications, submittals, etc.)  
  • The ability to lead a team of coordinators to complete a project  
  • PREFERRED: Prior experience of Revit and Navisworks software  
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Strong customer service skills: must be able to work effectively and professionally with internal customers. 
  • Must have great attention to detail to ensure accuracy. 
  • Able to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime during afternoons, evenings and weekends as needed. Hours may involve start times as early as 6:00am. 
  • Communicate effectively in English (verbal, and written).  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead a team of coordinators to complete all project tasks.  
  • Assist the BIM/VDC Integration Manager with internal project setup. 
  • Assist in generating all project support files 
  • Create project drawing sheets. 
  • Generate shop drawings for field use, using the contract documents as a guideline. 
  • Plot & prepare drawings for QC/Field review and submission. 
  • Lead maintaining project record sets of drawings and other documents. 
  • Lead incorporating answered RFIs and changes into shop drawings. 
  • Lead in record drawing maintenance and posting. 
  • Lead with pipe spooling for fabrication. 
  • Lead applying text, elevations & dimensions to the coordinated shop drawings.  
  • Lead adding hangers to various piping systems. 
  • Lead adding preparing point layout files (Sokkia Robotic Total Station).
