Job Summary
Quarry Oaks Golf Club is looking for a customer-focused, high performing Assistant Golf Professional to join the team! This position assists with the direction and management of day-to-day operations of the golf course and pro shop providing outstanding customer service and operational support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Abides by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
- Assists in managing golf shop activities, including sales of golf equipment, apparel, accessories, and inventory management.
- Helps organize and manage tournaments and special events, ensuring smooth operations and participant satisfaction.
- Greets members and guests in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring an exceptional golf experience.
- Assists with tee time reservations, golf cart rentals, and overall course management, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed throughout the golf operation.
- Works closely with the General Manager, Head Golf Professional and other key staff members to maintain a positive and efficient working environment.
- Assists in maintaining accurate records of events and inventory. Ability to handle other administrative tasks as needed.
- Processes and manages inventory and establishes pricing and invoice coding as needed.
- Ensures items are kept neat and organized for ease of locating and inventory.
- Assists the merchandiser and golf professionals with the receiving, displaying and selling of merchandise.
- Assists with Golf operations and functions related to POS, tee times, and golf events.
- Assists outside services staff to ensure they are offering the utmost customer service to our guests, including assisting customers upon arrival and departure.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in golf management or sports management; and
- 6 months previous experience working in golf-related field; or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- PGA Member or Apprentice, or in progress of completing the PGA Professional Golf Management Program.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Passion for the game of golf and commitment to providing a top-tier experience for all guests.
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or move up to 25 pounds.
