Position Summary:

The Sheetmetal Fabrication position fabricates cut aluminum stock to prepare for assembly, glazing, and installation.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using specialized tools and equipment.
• Assemble and install sheet metal hardware and components as needed
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and building codes.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and durability of finished products.
• Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
• Performs tool and machine maintenance as required.
• Documents daily activities, keeps accurate records of completed work.
• Receives, documents and labels materials.
• Operate forklift to move materials
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store tools and materials.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication techniques.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in various positions, and handle strenuous tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Must be willing to work in other capacities in the shop as needed.
