Job Summary: We are looking for a Staffing Recruiter to join our rapidly growing team with high volume recruiting experience. You will assist in executing effective recruitment strategies that will help streamline our mass hiring process and ensure that open positions are filled with top-performing candidates within proposed project deadlines.

The main responsibilities will include recruiting for skilled trade positions across the country, screening and shortlisting qualified candidates for interviews, and advertising and promoting open positions companywide. A successful candidate should be highly organized and able to ensure the daily staffing requirements and objectives are met.

This is an exempt, salaried position that reports directly to the Director of Safety & Human Resources.

 *The selected candidate must be located in or willing to relocate to the Elko, NV area.*

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A specific focus on recruiting skilled tradespeople for our temporary manpower needs. This includes trades such as electricians, millwrights, welders, ironworkers, and other specialized roles required for various projects across the country.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to draw in a large number of qualified candidates.
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, job fairs, etc.
  • Assist in candidate screening and interviewing.
  • Assess candidates’ relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and aptitudes.
  • Work directly with department managers, safety, and Human Resources on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs and scheduling of our current workforce.
  • Responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization’s business goals.
  • Actively participate in career fairs and college recruiting fairs.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation, and assess recruitment and personnel needs.
  • Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.
  • Interact with all company personnel in a pleasant, helpful and courteous manner.
  • Maintain the highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Draft memos and other company wide correspondence as necessary.
  • Respond to employee questions/concerns.
  • Provide reports to management as needed.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

 

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of recruiter experience or similar role required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with industrial construction required.
  • Prior skilled trade background or understanding of skilled trades.
  • Knowledge of staffing trends and best practices.
  • Ability to efficiently manage people and resources.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Experience in mining, maintenance service and/or construction industry a plus
  • Must be organized and self directed, working with little or no supervision
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance
  • Comply with all policies and procedures in Employee Handbook
