Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes, quality control, and safety regulations. This role requires effective leadership and communication skills to manage teams, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Review and interpret schematics, blueprints, and project documents to guide construction efforts.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and enforce OSHA safety regulations.
  • Utilize construction management software such as Prolog and ProCore for project tracking and documentation.
  • Manage project budgets using HeavyBid software to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices in construction techniques and safety protocols.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project status, challenges, and milestones.
  • Completes and submits daily, weekly, and monthly written reports to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations (OSHA).
  • Proficient in using construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and HeavyBid.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with pipeline construction is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents including schematics and blueprints.

EQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 2 years’ experience as Construction Supervisor or similar position, preferably in the construction field.
  • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the job duties of the position.
  • Knowledge of the proper and safe use of equipment, materials and supplies as utilized in environmental remediation and construction work.
  • Knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to project work schedule.
  • Computer literacy required, must include working knowledge of Word, Excel, experience w/SharePoint a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

WORK CONTEXT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
  • Regularly works in outdoor conditions that may include inclement weather, such as heat and humidity, rain, extreme cold with snow/ice.
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for the majority of a workday.
  • May work in an environment with close proximity to moving vehicles and mechanical parts.
  • Must have the ability to work in full PPE including respiratory protection which may include SCBA, APR, SAR.
  • Must understand and follow KEMRON SOPs for specific task(s).
  • Must be able to travel to work/project sites and traverse all types of terrain, often only on foot.
  • Must be able to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned tasks.
  • May require after hours and weekend work, including travel based on project specific needs.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
