Safety Coordinator (Entry-Level)

Known for our quality, reliability, and strong safety culture, we are seeking a proactive and organized Entry-Level Safety Coordinator to join our growing team. Position Overview: 

As the Safety Coordinator, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment across all company operations. You’ll lead safety initiatives, conduct employee training, perform audits, and help ensure compliance with internal safety policies and regulatory standards. This role supports the ongoing administration of the Company’s Safety and Health Policy and aligns with our core values and code of conduct. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide safety programs and policies. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local safety regulations (e.g., OSHA). 
  • Collaborate with internal team members, regulatory agencies, clinics, and medical/testing facilities to build and maintain effective working relationships. 
  • Foster engagement in the company’s safety program and local incident prevention efforts, encouraging active participation and reducing at-risk behaviors. 
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards. 
  • Coordinate and lead safety meetings and training programs to enhance employee awareness of job-specific hazards and risks. 
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Collaborate with management to promote a safety-first culture throughout the organization. 
  • Analyze incident data and trends to propose safety improvements. 
  • Maintain incident records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Respond to emergencies and assist with emergency planning and drills. 

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in construction or a related industry with safety responsibilities is preferred.  
  • OSHA 30 or equivalent is preferred.  
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
