Job Summary
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to excel in traditional accounting tasks like accounts payable and intercompany transactions while leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to enhance efficiency across our multi-state portfolio. With a Cardone-inspired mindset—proactive, relentless, and team-driven—you’ll integrate point-of-sale data, reconcile accounts, and keep our operations running at peak performance. No prior AI experience is needed—we’ll train you to harness these tools in a high-energy, growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process accounts payable with precision, using traditional methods enhanced by AI tools for maximum efficiency.
  • Execute and reconcile intercompany transactions across Maaco, Meineke, and real estate entities with accuracy.
  • Perform vendor and credit card reconciliations to maintain flawless financial records.
  • Integrate point-of-sale (POS) financial data into QuickBooks for real-time reporting, supported by AI-driven insights.
  • Reconcile daily bank checks written for purchases across our 23+ Maaco and Meineke locations.
  • Manage daily cash receipts with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Tackle additional accounting tasks with a “whatever it takes” attitude to fuel team success.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required) or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, intercompany transactions, or general accounting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets within a G-Suite (Google environment; POS system experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a multi-entity, fast-paced environment.
  • High-energy, goal-driven personality with a passion for teamwork, learning, and accountability.
  • No prior AI experience required—enthusiasm to learn cutting-edge AI tools and additional financial software through provided training.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with vendors, store teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in automotive or real estate industries is a plus.

Work Schedule and Expectations
  • Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • This is an on-site position at our Wilmington, NC office (Mayfair/Landfall area); remote work is not available.
